Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.
100% of PJA staff are fully vaccinated.
All eligible students (ages 5 and up) are required to be vaccinated against Covid-19 by February 1, 2022.
Families may request a medical or religious exemption, when honestly and genuinely applicable.
Families will be responsible for screening their children at home for COVID-19 symptoms.
Students, teachers, and staff who have symptoms of infectious illness, such as influenza (flu) or COVID-19, should stay home and be referred to their healthcare provider for testing and care.
If your child has any of the primary symptoms of COVID-19 (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea), they should not attend school.
If a child develops symptoms while at school, they will be removed from the classroom, and the family will be required to pick up the student as soon as possible.
If your child becomes ill while at school, we may provide them with a self-administered COVID-19 rapid test if we have a current waiver form on file. Please fill out this form and return it to PJA. You may scan it and email it as an attachment to email@example.com or mail a printed hard copy to PJA Office, 6651 SW Capitol Highway, Portland, OR 97219.
