Your Chance to Participate
The Portland Jewish Academy community of volunteers is a dynamic network of families—students, parents, grandparents and others—who work together to provide our children with the best education possible. Families that cannot volunteer are urged to make a donation of at least $180 to PJA's Annual Fund in place of their time. Contributions of time and money, at all giving levels, are greatly appreciated.
How it Works:
We ask that each family volunteer a minimum of 18 hours per year. This includes, among other things, volunteering for fundraising projects, in-class assistance, and accompanying classes on field trips.
How to get started:
- Complete a volunteer information form available in the PJA office.
- Ask your child's teacher for volunteer opportunities.
- Check in the following places for regularly posted opportunities:
in the PJA office
in PJA Parent newsletters
in the Parent section of this web site
