Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.

The PJA library is a lively hub, which supports and enriches our curriculum. Our full-time librarian helps students learn effective research and study skills.

Lower school students enjoy weekly lessons from the librarian and all students make frequent use of the state-of-the-art computers located there as tools for research.

PJA’s trilingual library allows students to check out English and Spanish books and selections from our extensive Hebrew section. In addition to general titles, the fiction section includes numerous books with Jewish characters or settings. The non-fiction section includes Judaic studies and books on Israel, as well as reference materials complementing topics studied in the classroom.

Access the PJA Library Online. A visit will give you an idea of the depth and breadth or our available resources.
