Early Childhood Art Studio

The Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Kindergarteners have been creating beautiful art all year in Morah Sandi's early childhood art studio. Sandi uses a center based art education (CBAE) program to give our youngest students opportunities to explore tools, materials, and techniques. They also practice other social-emotional skills in the art studio such as listening, following directions, and sharing.

This week students tested out their toe strength and creativity with barefoot drawings; they explored how different art tools create different designs on a table covered with purple shaving cream; the pre-K and Kindergarten classes made drawings while "scooting" on their bellies. As always, other centers were also open for exploration, too.

Take a walk through the halls on the lower level of PJA and enjoy the wonderful works of art created by our youngest artists.
