Purim is a holiday that is full of joy and silliness. In Hebrew, we use the term na-ha-fochu to describe this holiday which can be translated as topsy-turvy. Our Purim celebration was definitely full of joy and silliness and topsy-turvy!
Fifth graders put on a super groovy Purim spiel to a disco theme. This was a spiel like no other and we are so proud of the students and teachers who weathered the travails of recording a Purim spiel despite internet crashes, ice and snow storms, power outages, and a multitude of other complicating variables. Yasher koach!
Lots of other Purim fun was had by all including hamantaschen making over Zoom, a Middle School Purim Palooza and costume contest, and a fun virtual carnival of games hosted by sixth grade.
PJA truly embodied the spirit of Purim today!
