Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.

Working families deserve the comfort of knowing that their children are well cared for during the hours they cannot be at home with their families. PJA offers supervised before-school and/or afterschool care for children in Kindergarten through 7th and at the Portland Jewish Academy and at three local Portland Public Schools.

Each of our programs tries to balance free-choice play with structured-activities during the day in addition to offering time for students to work towards homework completion, active gross-motor games, enrichment projects and nutritious snacks. We work to build positive relationships between children and their families as well as our host school community.

We also offer:

Full-Day Care offered on most No-School Days
We try to balance these no-school days between fun and educational field trips as well as on-site theme days. We are typically able to run Full-Day care in three locations across the city in NW, SW & SE Portland. During Winter Break we are only open in SW & SE Portland. We are also able to be open on two Federal Holidays each school year, Veteran's Day and President's Day. Care only offered in SW Portland.
