Middle School Spirit Week
PJA’s Middle School students had such a fun week! The Middle School Manhigut (Leadership) Exploratory class planned a week of spirit activities culminating in a super-creative program at Friday’s Kabbalat Shabbat gathering.
Students came to school each day this week dressed for a different theme.
Monday: Everyone Hates Mondays (Pajama Day)
Tuesday: Dress Up (Fancy Clothes)
Wednesday: Decades Day (Wear clothes from ANY decade)
Thursday: Dress Like a Parent/Guardian/Teacher
One Manhigut student, Samuel, said his favorite day was Dress Like a Teacher Day. He chose to dress as Mr. Foote. “He has such a doable style for a kid to copy. It’s a professional style because Mr. Foote is professional.”
On Friday, advisory groups participated in Advisory Wars. Each advisory group was assigned a color, decided on a theme that fits their color, and then created costumes that showcased the theme. We had a yellow advisory dressed as post-it notes, a green advisory dressed as a caesar salad, and a black advisory dressed as Men in Black, to name just a few. Students had a great time participating in this friendly advisory competition.
