This week all of our K-8th grade students received a “kit” of carefully selected supplies and materials that they will use to enhance PJA’s distance learning program. Thank you to all of the teachers who compiled these materials. Thank you to Richard Boyd who organized and handed out all of the kits to families. And thank you to families who made the trip to PJA to collect your student’s kit. In those boxes or bags, your student will find all the supplies and materials they will need to help them be successful learners in their home classrooms - novels, rulers, graph paper, art supplies, whiteboards, textbooks, Hebrew books, prayer books, kippot, and of course, the 2020-21 PJA t-shirts.
If you would like to give students in need the same opportunity for successful learning during distance learning, we invite you to participate in PJA’s September Donation Drive for Schoolhouse Supplies, a local organization committed to promoting educational equity in local public schools by providing free school supplies to students in need. You can make a difference by purchasing new items from this "most needed" list: pencils, dry erase markers, kid scissors, boxes of crayons, pencil sharpeners, index cards, spiral notebooks, composition books, individual art supplies (watercolor trays, drawing pads) and health & safety items (tissues, hand soap, hand sanitizer). Drop off new school supplies in the collection bins at the entrance to PJA or donate online.
