Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.

Donation Drives & Events

Each year our PJA community donates thousands of needed items to various local agencies. In order to remain flexible in addressing pressing needs in the community, Donation Drives and opportunities will be announced periodically.

If you're interested in volunteer opportunities, check out our Kindness Farm webpage for upcoming events, or check the sections below.

Current Collection:

April 2022: Honor Earth Day on April 22 by celebrating the whole month long!
Throughout April, we are collecting...Styrofoam Packing Materials* & Coolers. Items will be transported to Agilylx, a local business that converts post-use polystyrene into its original components for future production.

*Please NO packing peanuts or smaller items such as foam trays, take out containers, egg cartons or cups--save those for the MJCC’s Recycling Drop Off Event taking place on Sunday, May 15th. Email workfortheworld@pjaproud.org with questions.
