Celebrating Team Work
What a week at PJA! Our Middle School Drama class put on an incredible performance of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Middle School Drama and Humanities Teacher, Marcie Brewer, wanted to place the story (which is timeless) in an era that had great music, hence the music of the 80s and the Preppy vs. Punk costumes. Audiences were especially impressed with all of the performers who memorized so many lines of Shakespearean English. Special shout-outs go to Sebastian (6th grade) who played the piano for Liem and Elizabeth's song, to Sarina (7th grade) who was an extremely organized and focused stage manager, and to the tech crew - Mayim (8th grade) and Ellie (7th grade). Putting on a play is always a considerable team effort. Thank you to everyone who helped create this wonderful production!

Another big team effort was celebrated at PJA this week. PJA’s 7th/8th Grade Basketball team made it to the league championship and took second place in the entire league. It takes a great amount of teamwork to achieve that level of play and we are so proud of their efforts!
