Cooking Up Community in Our 2’s Classroom

Room 123 is proud to announce the publication of its second annual Class Community Cookbook! This special project brings together recipes from families and teachers, fostering a sense of connection and belonging among our community members.

The idea began as a way to bring new families together and create something that represents all of us. Each recipe is a little window into a family’s story, and together they form a collection that feels both delicious and personal.

Since the start of the school year, the children have been cooking up imaginative meals in their classroom kitchen, using last year’s cookbook as inspiration. Now, they’ll enjoy exploring recipes from their very own edition—complete with contributions from the Early Childhood administrative team!

The cookbook is more than just a collection of favorite dishes; it’s a tool for dramatic play, a celebration of our diverse community, and a tradition that helps our students and our families feel at home in Room 123.
